This is Elizabeth and she is a 1972 VW camper. This site will hopefully show the progress on the restoration that I am carrying out on her. I have set myself a target of completing the restoration by summer. The popularity of the old VW campers has really taken off, so I am sure that I am not the only one who is restoring one, and I hope that this site will be of some help to others. If you have any suggestions or you require any help with your restoration then please don't hesitate to give us a shout, I have loads of pictures and don't mind E-mailing them if it will help. I have already started the restoration and have started at the front panel and will then work back. Although the pictures on the first page make Elizabeth look quite good, there is in fact a lot of work to be done and I will have to tackle a few very nasty jobs, (the front panel and the roof being worst.) Most of the pictures you see
can be enlarged by clicking on them. |
