My hovercraft vid03, I went to the beach today to try and get a good run on sand and water together, but the tide was in so there wasn't any sand! anyway there was a small waterlogged section and i played in there for a while. worked quite well, this is the first time i have had a willing pilot. he was velcro'ed in so he didn't do a runner and the added weight didn't make a difference. My son Thomas also makes am appearance on this video as part of the pit crew, it should also be note (for those of you who spotted it) he is also responsible for the transmitter aerial! but he is gorgeous so he gets away with it.

Here is some more footage of my RC hovercraft, this time running on very short grass, then on a concrete pathway. unfortunately the bank is slopped so it wasn't that successful.

Radio controlled hovercraft, high speed electric rc hovercraft using brush-less out-runner motors and lipo batteries. this clip shows electronic control of the steering by using a Microchip 12F675 8-pin chip to monitor the steering pulse from the receiver and adjust the power to one of the thrust fans to make the model steer. half way through the clip the camera angle is changed to show the poor action man, but he is a true solder and doesn't throw up!

Here is the latest clip of my RC hovercraft, the lake was well frozen so there was no chance that we could run our boats but i thought it would be a good chance to try out the hovercraft on ice! and i also wanted to try out the gyro to see if it made a difference. it turned out to be very successful the gyro helped no end and i think if i up the gain it will be really good. i also need to play with the program and make one fan quicker and the other slower to turn, then it will work better at slow speed.
